FRENSHIP TO HEADLINE CONCERT

Frenship

There's a strong contrarian streak in FRENSHIP, the Los Angeles-based duo of James Sunderland and Brett Hite. James grew up in Colorado and relocated to LA after four years of college studying production, where he was part of a DJ duo that didn't work out. Brett grew up in Spokane, Washington with a passion for soccer. An injury led him to discover a burgeoning interest in music and he began to play coffee shops and small venues after college as a singer/songwriter.

Brett and James met while working retail in LA and began to realize they each brought something to the table musically that the other could appreciate. They describe their hypnotic production as a combination of the twosome's affection for '80s-styled pop.

The duo signed on with Columbia Records and subsequently released their debut EP, Truce, in September 2016.

FRENSHIP's platinum-selling single "Capsize" was one of the most viral hits of 2016, surpassing 20 million streams in its first month and collecting over 300 million to date. Spotify crowned them #2 Breakout Artist of the year due to the song's chart performance.

FRENSHIP returns with their rhythmic follow up single "1000 Nights," accompanied by a cinematic, wilderness-themed video and lyric video.

BRAEVES TO OPEN FOR CONCERT

Braeves

LA/NY quartet BRAEVES began with childhood best friends Ryan Colt Levy and Derek Tramont, who’ve been together before the dawn of social media. Having experimented with a wide range of styles and sounds over the years, it wasn't until the addition of Thomas Killian McPhillips VII in late 2012 that things fell into place and BRAEVES was born. From there the music grew organically into its own unique blend of soulful Indie Rock and Pop that it is today, reminiscent of bands such as Local Natives, The Shins and Grizzly Bear alike. They are now joined by singer/guitarist, Scott Goldbaum.

Looking forward to the challenge of spreading their New York charm to the west coast, their journey has now brought them to Los Angeles, where they have recorded a single entitled “Bitter Sea,” produced by none other than Dave Trumfio (Wilco, My Morning Jacket) and Raymond Richards (Local Natives). This helped them break into the LA scene with radio play from KROQ, KCSN and blogs like Buzzbands.LA, IndieShuffle and Baeble Music who were in full support of the track.

In 2017, the band finds themselves in a place they've been working towards their whole career. Fresh off an LA residency, playing festivals such as Chinatown Summer Nights, BrokeLA, Echo Park Rising and attracting a whole slew of buzz in the process - a new collaboration has emerged between BRAEVES and longtime friend and producer, Grayson Sanders (Snowmine).
