If your child will be absent, be sure to call no later than 8 AM.

You may call after hours and leave message, giving reason for the absence.

If you do not know by 8 AM, please call anyway. Your call is an important courtesy to those who are waiting for a space for the day.

Families who pay the hourly rates will earn Valid Absence Hours (V.A.H.) by calling in a timely manner. Valid Absence Hours will help you financially.

Here is the system:

• Only full days of absence can be credited.
  (Picking up early or arriving late does not count as "absences".)
• Hours called in will be kept in your V.A.H. "account", which will accumulate from Week 1-13.
• V.A.H. are validated only BEFORE the 14th Week of the semester.
  (Bookkeeping cannot accommodate 14th and 15th week absences for credit.)
• -V.A.H. may be used for Scheduled Overtime or Finals Week.
