Children's Center Is Accredited from NAEYC
Center is part of the National Movement to Improve Early Childhood Education
The Children’s Center at California State University, Fullerton has accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). NAEYC is the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals. NAEYC accreditation demonstrates a commitment to provide a high quality program for young children and their families.
The CSUF Children’s Center successfully completed the two year process to receive accreditation which involved a review of every aspect of the program. Accreditation criteria include interactions among teachers and children, curriculum, relationships among teachers and families, staff qualifications and professional development, physical environment, health and safety, and nutrition and food service.
Accreditation is granted for a five year period.
The National Association for the Education of Young Children administers a national, voluntary, professionally sponsored accreditation system to help raise the quality of preschools, kindergartens, and child care programs. There are currently about 8,000 NAEYC-accredited programs.
