Parent Schedule & Location during Child Care

We must know where you are while your child is here. Each semester you'll be asked to fill out a "Parent Schedule" letting us know where you are and how to reach you as well as alternate contact information, in case, for some reason, we can't reach you at the specified location. It is your responsibility to update your Parent Schedule if it changes throughout the term. Please see the Office if you have any questions.

Pagers and cell phones are wonderful for helping us find you in an emergency, although they do not work in some buildings or if batteries run out or if they are turned off.

Fill out a Different Place Today form in our lobby if your schedule is changed for the day.

Unexpected change of location? We are just a phone call away. Let us hear from you.

Policy on Parent Location During Child Care
The Children's Center receives funds from the Associated Students, CSUF, Inc. and from the State of California for the purpose of enabling parents of young children to complete their University education. Therefore, childcare may be arranged for the time parents are pursuing this education, and for some family-related business.

The list below should clarify the appropriate uses of time while children are enrolled at the Children's Center. Please see the Office if you have any questions, or need approval for a variation of this list.

- In Class
- On Campus, Studying (TSU, or Library)
- At Work, depending upon units taken (7 or more)
- At Doctor, Court, or other family emergency
- Having Lunch on campus
- In Transit
- On Field Trip, for a class
- Volunteering here
- At home being sick
- At another library doing research
- At their internship
- Participating in student club activity (education-related) or attending special lecture,   symposium, etc.
- In some circumstances, parent may be home studying. This would be especially, in cases in   which a parent needs to use a computer, drafting table, or other study items that are set-up   at home. It is up to the parent to utilize their child care time to best further their studies at   CSUF.
- Other locations require Director's Approval.

At all times, the Center must have on file, the location at which to contact the parent (not just a pager or cell phone #).

Sign-in at the TSU or Library

Whenever you are at the Titan Student Union (TSU) or Library, you need to sign in there so that we can contact you in case of an emergency. Both locations have Parent Clipboards available for you to sign-in and out of - letting them now approximately where you'll be and what you're wearing, so that they can find you if we call.

The TSU clipboard is located at the lobby information desk. It is imperative that you sign yourself in and out while at these locations. It is the only way for us to be able to contact you while you're at one of these locations.

P.S. Remember, also, that if you say you are going to be there, be THERE. It's frustrating to call and not be able to find you. If you change your location, please tell us.
