The ASI Board of Directors consists of representatives from each of the eight colleges on campus. Each college elects two representatives to serve on the ASI Board of Directors.
The ASI Board of Directors is charged with setting policy for the Associated Students Inc., approving all funding allocations to programs and services, and advocating student interests on committees and boards.
The Board meets every Tuesday at 1:15 p.m. in the William G. Pollak Legislative Chambers in the Titan Student Union. All students are invited to attend. View past meetings and agendas. | Kyrstin Ohta (view bio)
Kyrstin Ohta is a fifth year undergraduate student in her senior year majoring in Music Education with an emphasis in Choral Conducting. Kyrstin is currently serving as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors and originally became involved in Associated Students, CSUF, Inc. to advocate for the students on campus and in the College of the Arts, as well as to stress the importance of becoming involved and connected on such a large campus. Within the College of the Arts she is also the President of the American Choral Directors Association, CSUF Student Chapter as well as an active member and Sergeant at Arms of Sigma Alpha Iota, Lambda Chi Chapter. On a statewide level she is also involved in the California State Student Association (CSSA) as the Deputy Speaker of the Multicultural Caucus that promotes diversity and equality throughout the CSU system. She hopes to help make the experiences students receive at CSUF more memorable and worthwhile in the time they are here. As a student and representative of the College of the Arts, Kyrstin would also like to promote the importance of keeping music and the arts in schools. After graduation she hopes pursue a graduate degree in Arts Management. Go Titans!

Jonathan Kwok (view bio)
Jonathan Kwok is a third year undergraduate student double majoring in Art with a concentration in Graphic Design, and Communications with a concentration in Advertising. He became involved with the Associated Student Inc with a mission to be an advocate and vessel for students to utilize and further better their college experience and campus. He comes with hopes in connecting the campus with the many sounds and colors of the College of the Arts. Jonathan has always championed student involvement on campus. He believes that by getting involved you take ownership of your experience, and time. "It can be great - if you make it great." In tandem, he sets on promoting the power and importance of art in schools and our community. Austin Carver is a fourth year undergraduate student majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. Austin decided to become involved with Associated Students, Inc. to advocate for the student body, stimulate and motivate campus involvement, and bring to attention the conflicts and struggles of the student voices that go unheard each day. Austin remains involved on campus by playing for the Men’s Lacrosse team and serving as the team’s treasurer. As a previous transfer student, Austin understands the need for students to become involved with campus clubs and organizations and enjoy the precious time they have while in college. | Miguel Arias (view bio)
Miguel Arias is a fourth year Computer Science major. He got involved after noticing the college of Engineering and Computer Science seemed disconnected from the rest of the campus and joined Associated Students, Inc. to try and change that. He hopes to increase the visibility of ASI to the students in Engineering and Computer Science as well as get them more involved in college events. He also wants to increase funding for graduate students' research, as he feels it is crucial to their success. Harpreet S. Bath (view bio)
Harpreet S. Bath is a third year undergraduate student majoring in Business and minoring in Computer Science. Before joining the ASI Board of Directors, Harpreet served on various leadership positions throughout campus. He has been a Project Director with the CSUF Volunteer & Service Center, organizing the 8TH Social Justice Summit. He also served as a voting member on the Community Service InterClub Council and currently serves as the Executive Vice President of the Finance Association. Representing the College of Engineering and Computer Science on the board, Harpreet hopes to create more awareness for the Engineering and Computer Science events and accomplishments. Karina Castellanos is a fifth year studying political science and sociology. Prior to her involvement with the Board of Directors, Karina was involved with Freshman Programs, Student Leadership Institute, Hispanic Scholarship Fund, and AICA (Association for Inter-Cultural Awareness). Karina has also participated in two prestigious programs within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences: Study Abroad in South Africa and Cal State Washington, D.C. Internship. Through her involvements on campus, across the nation, and around the world, Karina has realized how important it is to inform other students about the many opportunities that CSUF has to offer. Yvette Loaeza is a fourth year student majoring in Criminal Justice with a minor in Public Administration. She plans to raise awareness of the things happening throughout our campus, and our state. Her main goal as a part of Associated Students, Inc. is to be transparent. It is important to her to make sure that students know exactly what is going on at CSUF. She wants to promote school spirit and unity, as well as advocate for student’s rights and higher education. Yvette is involved with the Titan Student Center’s Governing Board, the Criminal Justice Student association, and many other committees on campus. | Tyler Routledge (view bio)
Tyler Routledge is a fourth year biological sciences major with a concentration in cell and developmental biology. Within his college, he works in a stem cell research lab. He is also involved in Camp Titan and a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. His biggest goal for the ASI includes expanding the reach to all populations, especially within the college of NSM. Bringing a sense of unity and pride among all CSUF students is an integral part that he hopes will encourage more students to get involved in a club or organization and have a more fulfilling college experience. Anthony Samaan (view bio)
Anthony Samaan will be the new representative for the college of the Natural Sciences and Mathematics for the Board of Directors. He is a 4th year Biology Major. Anthony is involved with different things outside of the Board of Directors. He is currently a Resident Advisor in the residence halls here on campus. He is a part of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity at CSUF and volunteers in the Clinical Care Extenders programs at Queen of the Valley Hospital. His goals for ASI are simply to increase the communication between his college of NSM and ASI. He feels that an increase in communication will allow students and members of this college to get more involved within ASI. An increase in involvement would lead to a better representation of the College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics throughout ASI. In the future, he hopes to help build a stronger voice for the students at CSUF.
