Loading Dock Phase One: Upgrading Building Systems

The Titan Student Union's single 300 ton chiller will be replaced with two more energy efficient 350 ton chillers that will serve as primary cooling systems for both the TSU and the future Student Recreation Center facility. The project also includes the installation of a series of boilers designed to support the space heating requirements of both the TSU and the future recreation center. Both the chiller and boiler equipment will be physically located in the area immediately south of the student union.

The final aspect of this project phase is the installation of buried hydronic piping which will run from the south area of the student union to the recreation center site. This piping is required to deliver heating and cooling capacity from these new systems to the future recreation center.
