ASI Strategic Plan


The Associated Students, CSUF, Inc. (ASI) is an advocate for the student experience that provides opportunities for development, engagement, and building Titan Pride within a collaborative, collegiate community.

ASI strives to be a beacon: welcoming, inclusive, innovative, and responsive.



This strategic plan, created in the summer of 2013 and approved by the ASI Board of Directors that fall, identifies the opportunities and challenges faced by Associated Students, Inc. It defines our primary focus, as well as specific goals we must meet, to enhance our organization and allow ASI to meet the needs of the Cal State Fullerton student body now - and in the years ahead.

The strategies proposed here will evolve and adapt to the changing needs of the campus community.The plan's purpose is to articulate our vision as we look to the future, provide a roadmap for next steps, and create organization-wide alignment and collaboration.

This plan is built upon the foundation of the mission statements of both Associated Students, Inc. and California State University, Fullerton.


The Associated Students, California State University, Fullerton, Incorporated (ASI) is the recognized student government at California State University, Fullerton, advocating student interests on-campus and in local, state and national forums. The ASI strives to develop relevant and quality-minded services, facilities, and experiences, which are responsive to members of the campus and surrounding communities.

The ASI fosters meaningful student development opportunities through leadership, volunteer, and employment experiences. In addition to out-of-classroom learning opportunities, the ASI provides campus community members with important social, cultural, and recreational opportunities as well as a wide range of programs and services. In recognition of its responsibility to enhance student life, the ASI encourages and supports the activities of all California State University, Fullerton recognized student organizations whose activities stimulate individual and group participation within the university community.


Learning is preeminent at California State University, Fullerton. We aspire to combine the best qualities of teaching and research universities where actively engaged students, faculty and staff work in close collaboration to expand knowledge.

Our affordable undergraduate and graduate programs provide students the best of current practice, theory and research and integrate professional studies with preparation in the arts and sciences. Through experiences in and out of the classroom, students develop the habit of intellectual inquiry, prepare for challenging professions, strengthen relationships to their communities and contribute productively to society.

We are a comprehensive, regional university with a global outlook, located in Orange County, a technologically rich and culturally vibrant area of metropolitan Los Angeles. Our expertise and diversity serve as a distinctive resource and catalyst for partnerships with public and private organizations. We strive to be a center of activity essential to the intellectual, cultural and economic development of our region.
