Every year the Titan Student Union designates a budget for capital equipment purchases intended for various building improvements and needed equipment replacements. Planned expenditures include office equipment, computer hardware and software, and furniture replacements. Highlighted below are some of the large-scale projects planned for this year. Games and Recreation Furniture Enhancements
The TSU designated funds for furniture purchases in Games and Recreation, located in the lower level of the Titan Student Union. The Billiards and Video Game areas will receive new bar stools and the TV viewing lounge will receive new chairs. The new furniture purchases will complement the recent redecorating efforts in the bowling center and TV lounge of Games and Recreation.

University Conference Center Improvements
Significant improvements in the University Conference Center will enhance the professional and quality meeting and event rooms the Titan Student Union offers. 72 tabletops will be replaced within the center’s meeting rooms, and furnishing upgrades are planned for the Legislative Chambers including chair replacements, lighting upgrades, and podium replacement. Audio-visual equipment upgrades are planned purchase for the University Conference Center with the purchase of additional high-quality digital projectors, overhead projectors and DVD players. Additional aesthetic improvements will include new waste receptacles and stage skirting for the Portola Pavilions.

Project Update: Tabletop replacements and AV purchases completed. Legislative Chambers improvements currently being researched.

Titan Recreation Spin Bikes
Titan Recreation purchased Reebok, professional quality spin bikes. The bikes enable the program to expand the fitness-center spin classes, which have been extremely well-received by the campus community since their introduction in Fall 2003.

Building Carpeting
New carpeting is slated to be installed in the University Conference Center administrative office as well as the entire student organization wing on the upper level of the Titan Student Union. The new carpet will complement current building design and colors while adding a new, fresh style.
