Pavilion Lighting Enhancements and Carpeting
The Titan Student Union’s 2004-05 budget has designated funds to upgrade the lighting system in the Portola Pavilion to include dimmer systems and controllable spotlights. The new lighting system will enhance the large-scale events held in the union’s primary banquet and event space. In addition, the entire 11,584 square foot multi-purpose room is slated to receive new carpeting, in an effort to maintain the facility’s hotel-caliber appearance standard.
Project Budget: $120,000
Project Update: Planning for lighting system ongoing. Installation planned for summer 2005. New carpet was installed in January 2005.

El Toro Campus Furniture Purchase
The Titan Student Union will purchase additional study lounge furniture for the student gathering spaces at the El Toro Campus. For the outdoor courtyard at El Toro, the TSU will purchase umbrellas to provide shade to this uncovered gathering space.
Project Budget: $30,600
Project Update: Replacement umbrellas and lounge furniture purchased and installed during Fall 2004.

Campus Exterior Posting Centers
Up to three outdoor information kiosks are planned for high-traffic campus pedestrian areas. Proposed locations may include: the Quad, Kinesiology and Health Science; and Visual Arts buildings. These outdoor information centers will provide ASI/TSU programs and campus student organizations an avenue to promote events and services to a wide audience in an attractive and visible manner.
Project Budget: $7,500
Project Update: Kiosk Workgroup was established and meets regularly. A location in front of the Nutwood Parking Structure was selected to install a custom made kiosk/information center next year. The money designated in this year's budget has been reassigned to fund infrastructure and possibly technology costs.

Accounting System Migration
The Titan Student Union will participate in funding the costs for the migration of the ASI Accounting System to a new operating system with the CSUF Foundation. This migration will allow for the implementation of Bi-Tech 7i web-based accounting system access, which among other features, will enable ASI/TSU departments and registered student organizations to access financial data pertaining to their programs/activities online.
Project Budget: $78,250
Project Update: Project on-going.

Food Court Design Services
In advance of the planned modernization of the Titan Student Union Food Court, the TSU will employ the services of an interior design firm to plan and develop budget recommendations for enhanced public seating, customer queuing, and interior décor for a newly remodeled food court. The TSU will use these designs and budget projections to request and potentially allocate funds to proceed with the project in the subsequent year.
Project Budget: $35,000
Project Update: The Titan Student Union met with Porter Consulting, specializing in food service planning and design in April 2005. The company will provide recommendations and designs for the TSU to utilize next year.
