Parent and Me
Ages 6 months - 3 years
Skills include: blowing bubbles, kicking, holding onto the wall, floating on front and back, and water safety skills. Children must wear swim diapers.
Beginners, ages 5 and up
Skills include: water adjustment, bobbing, blowing bubbles, kicking, floating on front and back, gliding, and combined leg and arm actions on front.
Must Have Passed Level 2
Skills include: front crawl, backstroke, side breathing, and elementary backstroke.
Must Have Passed Level 4
Skills include: endurance – front crawl, backstroke, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and sidestroke – and front flip turns.
Ages 3 years - 9 years
Parent assisted learn to swim is a class designed for those children with special learning needs. Parents remain in the water with the child to assist with the learning process, in a warm, shallow water pool.
Starfish PALS – 3-5 year olds (tiny tots and level 1 skills)
Tadpole PALS – 6-9 year olds (level 1 and level 2 skills)
Ages 3-4 (Preeschool Age)
Skills include: bobbing, kicking, exhaling under water through mouth and nose, floating on front and back, and introduction to arm strokes.
Must have passed Level 1, or aged out and passed Tiny Tots
Skills include: floating on front and back, gliding, combined leg and arm actions on front and back.
Must Have Passed Level 3
Skills include: front crawl, backstroke, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and sidestroke.
Level 6 - Junior Lifegaurd Preparation
Must Have Passed Level 5
Skills include: endurance – front crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke –, lifesaving skills – Using a buoy, survival swimming, turning in the water, treading water, observation skills, retrieving objects from deep water.
