Candidate Biography

I’m Jaspreet Kaur, a Computer Science major at CSU Fullerton with a passion for leadership, innovation, and student advocacy. I currently serve as President of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), work at the TAPP Center supporting student success, and actively participate in Women in Computer Science & Engineering (WICS). My journey began at Chaffey College, where I served as President of Phi Theta Kappa and Vice President of Student Government. I bring a blend of technical expertise, collaborative spirit, and a deep commitment to building inclusive, empowering campus communities.

Candidate Statement/Platform

I’m running for ASI President because I’m ready to take action on the real challenges students face every day. Working at the TAPP Center, I see how often students struggle to find clear answers, fast support, and leadership that genuinely pays attention. As President of NSLS, I’ve built programs, led teams, and created environments where students feel motivated, supported, and capable of more. I want to bring that same drive and resultsfocused leadership to ASI. My priorities are stronger communication, easier access to resources, and faster, more responsive support for students. I’m confident in my ability to lead because I’ve already been doing the work, listening, solving problems, and showing up for students. I’m ready to represent this campus with clarity, energy, and a commitment to making CSUF better in ways students can actually feel.

Candidate for Vice President

Candidate Slogan

CSUF shouldn’t feel lonely. It’s not just you

Candidate Biography

I’m running for ASI Vice President because CSUF shouldn’t feel lonely. Too many students come to campus for class and leave without feeling connected. College should feel like more than just lectures and deadlines.

I’m a student who understands how hard it is to balance school, mental health, work, and finding your place here. Living on campus and supporting other students has shown me how many people want to be involved but don’t know where to start or don’t feel invited.

I believe leadership should be approachable, honest, and student-focused. ASI should feel easy to talk to, not distant or confusing. As Vice President, I want to help make student voices heard and help CSUF feel more like a community students belong to, not just a campus they pass through.

Candidate Statement/Platform

If elected as ASI Vice President, my focus will be on connection, student voice, and accessibility. Too many CSUF students feel disconnected from campus life, especially commuters. I want ASI to help change that by making involvement easier and student government more approachable.

My first priority is improving communication and transparency. Students should know what ASI does, how decisions are made, and how to share their concerns. ASI should feel open and welcoming, not distant or confusing. I will work closely with the President and student leaders to make sure student voices are heard and acted on.

I also want to support student wellbeing. College is stressful, and students need support beyond academics. I will advocate for stronger collaboration between ASI, campus organizations, and wellness resources so help is easier to find and easier to trust.

Lastly, I want to help student leaders succeed. When ASI leaders feel supported and accountable, they are better able to serve the student body.

My goal is simple: help CSUF feel less isolating and more connected. Student government should work for students, and I am committed to helping make that happen.
