Constructing Solutions for Student Success.

Candidate Biography
Hi everyone! My name is Brandon Arzabal, and I’m a fourth year Civil Engineering major at California State University, Fullerton, with a strong interest in geotechnical and structural engineering. Throughout my time at CSUF, I’ve built a solid foundation in engineering analysis, design, and problem solving through both coursework and hands on projects.

I’m also actively involved in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) on campus, where I’ve enjoyed collaborating with fellow students and growing as a leader within the engineering community. I’ve truly loved my experience in the Engineering School at CSUF and value the supportive environment it provides for student growth and innovation.

Through my involvement with ASI, I hope to continue supporting student voices, strengthening campus engagement, and contributing to initiatives that positively impact the student community.

Candidate Statement/Platform

If elected, one of my primary goals is to improve the class registration experience for students, particularly within the College of Engineering. Many students face challenges when registering due to limited course availability and classes that are only offered in either the fall or spring semester. I hope to advocate for better course planning and increased transparency in scheduling so students can progress through their degree programs more smoothly and on time.

In addition, I would like to strengthen the social media and marketing presence of the College of Engineering. By highlighting student organizations, academic opportunities, projects, and campus resources, we can give prospective and current students a clearer picture of what CSUF has to offer. A stronger digital presence can help incoming students feel more connected before they arrive on campus and encourage current students to become more engaged in college events and activities.

Overall, my goal is to support student success by improving access to classes, enhancing communication, and fostering a more connected and informed engineering community.
