ASI App Provides Another Way to Engage Students

ASI recently launched its own app to provide an additional channel for students to obtain information about ASI and its offerings.

The idea for the app started off as a project by former ASI President Josh Mitchell (2021-2022).

“As I was becoming more familiar with ASI, I realized that our student government lacked the ability to connect with our students on their most used devices, their phones,” stated Mitchell.

Designed and developed by ASI in partnership with CSUF’s Division of Information Technology, the app currently provides users with a variety of features including student government contacts, ASI scholarship overviews, elections information, an events calendar, social media links, and information about ASI services and facilities.

“We hope that the app becomes a useful resource for students to get information about ASI,” said ASI Director of Administration & Policy Drew Wiley. “Ideally students will use the app as an additional way to find out what events and activities are going on, learn how to get involved with ASI, and apply for volunteer and leadership opportunities.”

Future plans for the app include expanding the number of events in the calendar and adding a section to keep students updated on various opportunities to get involved with ASI.

You can download the ASI App for free in the App Store or Google Play.
