Cesar Mendoza
Candidate for President

Candidate Biography
My name is Cesar Mendoza, and I am a sophomore finance student and the current ASI Board of Directors for the College of Business. I am the son of Mexican immigrants and a first-generation college student who came to CSUF to build opportunities not only for myself, but for every Titan who feels they do not have a voice on campus. I have always been passionate about leadership, not as a title, but as a responsibility to serve the people around me and help others realize what they are capable of.
Here at CSUF, I have been involved in Titan Capital Management, the Student Management Investment Fund, Titan Investment Banking Club, and ALPFA, where I focused on mentoring students, sharing career resources, and helping people who felt unsure about where to start. On the ASI Board, I have worked to understand and advocate for student concerns and connect organizations with the support they need.
Outside of academics, I love to stay active. I grew up in a running-focused family and competed in track and cross country all four years of high school. These days, I still enjoy running, going to the gym, and playing pickleball with friends.
Candidate Statement/Platform
If I am elected ASI President, my goal is simple. I want every student at CSUF to feel like this campus works for them, not around them. Too many Titans feel disconnected from resources, confused about where their student fees go, or unsure how to get their concerns heard. I want to change that by focusing on transparency, accessibility, and real student support. I want to lead through Titan Support, Inclusivity, Transparency, Active Campus Life, Nurturing Wellness, and Student Empowerment.
First, I want to center my work around the ASI Student Wellness Initiative and make wellness a real priority on campus. Students are dealing with stress, burnout, and personal challenges, and support must address the whole student, not just academics. I want to expand access to mental and physical health resources, create more spaces for students to recharge, and ensure wellness programs are visible and easy to use. My goal is to push for stronger funding and partnerships so every Titan has the support they need to thrive.
Second, I want to expand support for student organizations and professional development. Clubs and cultural organizations are where many students find community, but they often struggle with funding, event planning, and access to resources. I want to streamline those processes and build stronger partnerships among ASI, academic colleges, and career programs so students have more opportunities to grow beyond the classroom.
Third, I care deeply about students who feel overlooked. As a first-generation student, I know how intimidating college can be when you do not have guidance at home. I want to advocate for more mentorship programs, mental health resources, and academic support so every Titan, regardless of background, has a fair chance to succeed.
My time on the ASI Board of Directors has shown me how many students care about this campus and want to make it better. I have listened to concerns about parking, food, campus safety, and affordability. If elected, I will treat those issues with urgency and make sure decisions are guided by real student experiences, not just numbers on a page.
I am running because I believe leadership is about service. It is about showing up, listening first, and acting with integrity. CSUF gave me opportunities I never imagined, and I want to help build a campus where every student feels that same sense of possibility. Together, we can create a more connected, supportive, and proud Titan community.

Candidate Biography
My name is Sydney Yee, and I am currently a third-year studying Business Finance. I am actively engaged on campus as a member of Titan Capital Management, the Finance Association, and the Real Estate Association, and also enjoy collaborating with students through the Accounting Department to help with academic success. Last year, I had the opportunity to help establish the new Real Estate business concentration at CSUF and watch the program grow with students who were eager to join.
My involvement at CSUF has allowed me to bridge the gap between campus engagement and academic support, helping to create opportunities that prepare students for success during their academic journey and future career. As your next ASI Vice President, I’m passionate about helping students navigate resources, understand where our fees go, and ensure that all voices are heard.
Candidate Statement/Platform
If I am elected as ASI Vice President, my focus is on making CSUF a campus where every student feels supported, valued, and represented. Many Titans struggle to navigate resources, understand how decisions are made, or find spaces where they truly belong. I want to help bridge those gaps by prioritizing Titan Support, Inclusivity, Transparency, Active Campus Life, Nurturing Wellness, and Student Empowerment
First, I want to help strengthen the ASI Student Wellness Initiative so student well-being is at the center of campus priorities. College can be overwhelming, and students need support that prioritizes mental and physical health and everyday balance. I want to expand access to counseling and wellness programs, create more welcoming spaces to decompress, and ensure students know which resources are available to them.
Second, I want to uplift the organizations and communities that make the campus feel alive. Student clubs and cultural groups give Titans a sense of home, but they often face funding and planning challenges. I want to simplify those processes, improve collaboration with ASI, and ensure students have more opportunities to connect, lead, and grow outside the classroom.
Third, I want to be a voice for students who feel unseen. Not every Titan arrives with the same support system, and many feel unsure about where to start. I want to expand mentorship, academic guidance, and outreach so students from every background can access the same opportunities and feel confident navigating their journey.
Serving students has taught me that leadership is about listening before speaking and acting with purpose. I want to work alongside the President and the student body to address concerns like affordability, safety, and campus resources with honesty and accountability. My commitment is to help build a campus that reflects the needs and voices of all Titans.
I am running to serve, support, and stand with students. Together, we can build a healthier, more engaged, and more inclusive CSUF where every Titan has the chance to thrive.
