Celebrate the Start of the Semester at All Day ASI

Celebrate the Fall Semester return to campus by joining Associated Students Inc. (ASI) at its annual All Day ASI event on September 1, 2022, and experience many of the programs and services ASI has to offer over a jam-packed, four-block schedule that runs from morning to night.

Students will enhance their Titan Experience by taking part in a wide variety of programming, ranging from engagement opportunities with their student leaders, to tours and recreation demos, and a free nighttime concert on Tuffy Lawn featuring the EDM duo TELYKast.

Starting bright an early, food trucks will be available at the Becker Amphitheater outside the Titan Student Union (TSU). Students will have the chance to meet and interact with their elected student leaders, ASI President Lydia Kelly and Vice President Christapor Mikaelian while they livestream the opening event. The morning block will begin at 8:00 am and wrap up around 10:00 am.

Following the livestream, Titan Radio DJs will take over, performing sets from The Pub, located on the lower level of the TSU, from Noon- 2:00 pm.  Students can stop by and use the ASI photobooth to capture the experience with friends and enjoy free pizza (while supplies last).

During this time attendees will also have the opportunity to meet their college’s ASI Board of Directors representatives while participating in an interactive scavenger hunt. Scavenger hunt punch cards will be available for pickup at the Information & Services desk located on the main level of the TSU. Students will then go to five different locations around campus where a student leader will punch their card. If a student’s card is punched five times, they will receive a small giveaway prize and be entered in the drawing for the grand prize, a Fall 2022 parking pass.

Next, the Student Recreation Center (SRC) will host an open house from 2:00-5:00 pm. If you’ve ever wondered what the SRC has to offer but have never taken the time to check it out, now is the time! Attendees can explore the Rec Center, participate in a fitness challenge, and get a glimpse of some of the SRC fitness classes during a cycling demo and a High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) demo.

Outside, student can enjoy free tacos and aguas frescas from Whittier-based Taco Y Que while talking with SRC staff members about how the Student Recreation Center can support them and their personal fitness and wellness goals.

In addition, Los Angeles-based artist DJ Lowso will be performing live on the SRC pool deck so attendees can listen to live music while eating smores at the Titan Outdoors tent or while playing volleyball in the heated pool.

The nighttime block will begin at 5:00 pm adjacent to the SRC on Tuffy Lawn. Attendees will get to participate in an ASI-focused resource fair, enjoy student performers, a 360 photobooth, caricature artists, an Amazon Prime interactive booth, corn hole, giant board games, DIY crafts, and a variety of food trucks leading up to the main event.

The Los Angeles-based TELYKast will wrap up the night, headlining this year’s free All Day ASI concert slated to begin at 8:00 pm.
