09 Jun Empowering the Next Generation: ASI Welcomes 2025–2026 Student Leaders at Cal State Fullerton
Cal State Fullerton’s Associated Students Inc. (ASI) has officially sworn in its 2025–2026 student leadership, ushering in a new chapter of student governance. The newly elected and appointed leaders will serve through May 31, 2026, representing the voice of the student body and guiding initiatives that impact the campus community.
Following the March 2025 student elections, Haneefah Syed and Juan Salguero were elected as ASI President and Vice President, respectively. Joe Morales, who was elected to the Board of Directors, was selected by his peers on June 2 to serve as Board Chair. All three student leaders are from the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. “Your leadership, your decision-making, your collaboration, your ability to understand discernment is non-negotiable,” said Rochon. “Your ability to listen to one another, especially when you disagree… to recognize and respect one another regardless of race, ethnicity, or religious beliefs — that’s what our campus deserves.”
Moreover, the Chief Officers, appointed through an application-based process earlier in the year, are as follows:
- Chief Campus Relations Officer: Riya Jain
- Chief Governmental Officer: Tyler Gibbs
- Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer: Ava Montano
