Seeking Candidacy for: Board of Directors, College of the Arts

Biography:

Hi everyone, my name is Joshua Lopez, and I am running for a second term as the
ASI Board of Directors, College of the Arts! I am currently in my last semester of my
undergrad and will be pursuing a master degree in music this coming Fall.

After a year of serving as the BOD for COTA, I have learned so much and I’m excited
to use this knowledge to get a better head start to this coming academic year!

Statement/Platform:

If elected I hope to bring improvements to the College of the Arts by collaborating
with my fellow students.

Improving the practice rooms is still one of my main priorities as I have found some
common ground with the chair of the school of music. With a year of prior
experience, I can better use my first semester to further push for these much
needed upgrades to these rooms.

Better promoting the resources ASI has to offer to COTA students continues to be
something I want to improve as ASI offers so many resources that continue to get
better each year. Building a stronger bridge between the students and ASI is crucial
for our programs to continue to improve as our ultimate purpose is to serve our
community for a better campus.
