15 Sep benches Brings Indie Britpop Vibes to CSUF’s Concert at the Becker
Cal State Fullerton students are invited to attend Associated Student Inc.’s (ASI) first fall 2025 installment of “Concert at the Becker” with indie group benches on Sept. 16, noon-1 p.m. at the Becker Amphitheater.
Set against the backdrop of the bustling Tuesday farmers markets, the series provides free music for the campus community as students eat lunch or lounge outside in-between class time.
“The goal of “Concert at the Becker” is to provide some noontime entertainment for students,” said ASI Programming Coordinator Imani Cooper. “We believe live music at the same time as the farmers market provides an environment that college students will enjoy. It emulates the vibe of farmers’ markets held off campus.”

With over 270,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, benches deliver a nostalgic sound inspired by 90’s Britpop and early 2000’s New York rock. Their laid-back, alternative style sets a different tone from ASI’s spring and fall concerts, which traditionally feature high-energy pop and R&B acts.
ASI’s “Concert at the Becker” has long been a staple of student programming, with a rich history that includes performances by renowned artists Rage Against the Machine in 1992 and No Doubt in 1994.
This fall, students, staff and the CSUF community can enjoy “Concert at the Becker” at least once a month.
