03 Dec Computers to Crafting: ASI Art Programs Partners with Titan XP to Host “Caps & Crafts” Event
Associated Students Inc. challenges students to level up their creative skills at Titan XP and Art Programs and Exhibit’s Caps & Crafts on Dec.4 at the Titan Student Union Esports Lounge. Free for all Cal State Fullerton students, attendees can design and paint key caps for their personal keyboards with a chance to compete for different prizes provided by Micro-Star International (MSI).
Caps & Crafts attendees will have the chance to compete for the best individual key cap and best key cap set. Three overall winners will each win a new MSI keyboard to use their newly decorated key caps on.

“We wanted something to step away from the competitive side of gaming, and what better way to do that than invite students to kind of create their own key cap designs?” said Aaron Chai, Titan Bowl and Billiards and Esports coordinator. “Every PC gamer will have a keyboard in their life and sometimes they want to express their personalities with their keyboards.”
In recent years, gaming has continued to grow in popularity among Gen Z, competing with the likes of television and social media for their attention. This shift has fueled demand for personalized gaming experiences, making custom keyboards and optimized setups essential for both performance and enjoyment.

“It’s almost the end of the school year. I hope this event offers students a place to relax and destress,” said Brooke Ramirez, Art Programs and Exhibits student instructor. “Students can also take home a keepsake they can actually use, and when they look at it, they’re reminded of the fun time they had making it.”
With fall semester finals approaching at CSUF, students can look forward to leveling up their creative and social skills in one arena while escaping the digital realm of finals season.
